1960 Nic & Luda, a couple from Naples raise 3 daughters in Brooklyn. There is abuse, infidelity, acts of rebellion. Nic wants to be an ‘American’; Luda savors the old ways of Napoli. The girls long for freedom and justice. A catastrophic event in Brooklyn, becomes a catalyst for their lives to transform.
