Andrey Kovrin, a Russian scholar retreats to the country home where he grew up, in a state of exhaustion. Now surrounded by gorgeous gardens, he meets Yegor, his former guardian, who lives with daughter, Tanya. In this magical place he also meets an ancient monk and life spins out of control. I was compelled by the intimate relationship between Kovrin and the monk, his own special wiseman.
